Inclement weather

Safety is the most important consideration for our coaches, players, and parents. We encounter a wide variety of weather situations and good judgment is necessary to insure safety remains the top priority. The coach for the team makes all decisions as to whether a practice, or game, should be rescheduled or cancelled. In game situations it is up to the coach to contact opposing coaches and to align on the course of action. The coaches or the team managers are encouraged to notify players and their parents, at least one hour before the players will need to leave to reach their destination. WYBA board members do not have governance over weather related schedule changes, so please do not call the board. The only reason the board members would become involved is if multiple parents believe that poor judgment has been a systemic problem with a coach.
